Jo Angell

Jo Angell stepped into the world of textiles after running her own graphics company for 10 years. She has emerged as an exciting materials and pattern based designer producing award winning work.

Inspiration often comes from pattern and colour and Jo often creates designs embued with an association to the natural world.

Jo is experienced and enthusiastic about using digital technologies and her work incorporates laser cutting and digital textile print. Her varied design work has included a prototype window display for Louis Vuitton, an innovative outdoor canopy for a garden in the Chelsea Flower Show, wallpaper designs for Graham and Brown and Watts of Westminster.

More recently Jo has been working in the ever expanding world of digital textiles where she continues to explore it’s potential. Jo aims to create work in an environmentally responsible way, and sees digital print as key to producing textiles locally and on demand, thereby reducing waste.
